· Did not want to run for 3^rd term because he was tired of public life and devoutly wished for retirement

· He also believed if he stepped down it would remind America he was our president not our king

· The people were our true leaders

· Alexander Hamilton and James Madison helped him with his farewell address

· In his speech he spoke of dangers to the republic which consisted of foreign ties, political divisions at home, and public debt.

· His farewell address was published in the newspaper in early September of 1796

· Washington said, in his speech, to only change the constitution by adding an amendment only if the people say so, though

· Washington didn’t believe in permanent alliances, he thought it was wrong to have nation depend on nation. I believe he is right because that puts you in debt and in unneeded wars

· He didn’t believe in borrowing money, it only brings the future generations debt

· He believed disagreements between political groups weakened government.

· “political unity” he said “was the key to national success”

8. I do and I don’t agree with Washington’s position on alliances. I believe that having alliances is good at the same time he is right by saying alliances mean nation depending on nations.

She won the constitution bee! not only did she win the bee she won the maroon mafia 2 million points. We are currently behind by about 500,000 or so. Not too shabby. Jordan is an excellent student we should all be proud of her

DEATH PENALTY

DEATH PENALTY

If little boy goes to his neighbors house and steals baseballs bat from his neighbor you make him return the/a bat and apologize. But what if the boy turns into a man and then he goes to his neighbor’s house and steals his life would you make him apologize and make him return the deed… would you vote pro death penalty??

Do you know how much it costs to jail a man?--$20,000 dollars a year Would you want that money to feed a murderer to give him shelter? Or to build better schools? Better hospitals?

Let’s say you are walking down the street. You are pregnant and you have a two year old daughter. You are going to buy clothes. And all of a sudden a man comes out of nowhere and kills your daughter and uses her dead body to kill the fetus. Does that man, in your opinion deserve to live?

No punishment can be equal to the crime of murder.

It gives closure to the family of the victim.

Overpopulated prisons:: people get let out early

If a man kills another man he is a murderer. The murderer goes to jail he serves 25 years is let home for good behavior. He then kills a young family. Should he go back to jail? Or should he die?

In the Ten Commandments it does say “you shall not murder” but if you do not use the death penalty than those people who were to be sentenced to death penalty will be alive ready to murder other innocent people. “You shall not murder” unless it is to help others. Kill One Man to Save A Million. A million he could have killed.

They may say: If murder is wrong, which it is, than why commit it back?

BUT in fact when you execute people who could potentially murder more you are indeed saving more lives than you are harming. AND you are not killing one innocent person to help millions of innocent people you are killing a man guilty of murder

They may say:: but X amount of people were innocent when executed.

But X amount of people were innocent when murdered and in fact the investigation that detectives and  policeman do last 20 years at a time it’s hard to get the wrong man

Inmates kill each other

Prison Lets you off easy. Your still alive. Still fed still sheltered… and you get let out eventually

Cruel and Unusual… DP isn’t… because cruel means brutal…. Brutal it isn’t because they don’t chop off your head or gauge your  eyes out. And Unusual means abnormal… they murdered some one! So its not abnormal…
